Initiating A Conversation|Next, Talking With The Doctor
For many, constipation is difficult to address openly.2 It may even be more difficult to discuss with a loved one. If you notice any of the common signs and symptoms of constipation, this is a good place, and a good time, to start a conversation. Gently raise the subject yourself. You can then move onto the Constipation Symptoms Checklist. Once the conversation has been initiated, your loved one may also want to speak with the doctor and discuss appropriate treatment options.
